Tug Thomas H. Sank in May 29, 1945.
One of the Most famous Wrecks, Sank May 29th 1945, Discovered in 1987 by divers Jim Allen and Tim Caza. Thomas H was towing six heavily loaded barges headed for Oswego, it was caught in a heavy storm with gale winds up to 45mph. Crew of 12 onboard, 1 was missing and never found . Assumed to be 90% intact. There are many more ship wrecks on Oneida Lake to explore.
